Our heart of R&D bears improvements on process efficiency and safety. Our goal is to offer a high level of flexibility to enable the development of new products, even with small target volumes.

The laboratory is equipped with a variety of physicochemical characterization techniques: IR, UV-vis, GPC, GC, GC-pyrolysis, PSD, automatic titration, centrifuge, bacteria test, rheometer, densimeter, penetration measurement, volumetric SiH content analysis, refractometer, material tests frame, microscopy, pH-meter and flame-point measurement. In addition, several synthesis and mixing setups are used for the preparation of a wide range of products.

Our laboratory staff are all-rounders and have expert knowledge of all of our products. Also, we have personnel specialized in legislation and regulation, for example REACH registration. Key product lines we focus on are emulsions, defoamers, lubricants, personal care formulation, lubricant additive packages, chemicals and RTV-2 compounding. The main competences of the R&D department for physical processes are blending, dispersion and emulsification. For chemical processes involving silicones, these competences are hydrosilylation, condensation, re-equilibration, emulsion polymerization and ring-opening polymerization.
