Our R&D department focuses on product development in response to market trends and customer needs, requiring close cooperation with our sales department.
A key focus of our R&D activities is the continuous improvement of process efficiency and safety. Our goal is to offer a high degree of flexibility to support the development of new products, including those with smaller target volumes.
The laboratory is equipped with a variety of physicochemical characterization techniques, including IR, UV-vis, GPC, GC, GC-pyrolysis, PSD, automatic titration, centrifuge, bacteria testing, rheometry, densimetry, penetration measurement, volumetric SiH content analysis, refractometry, material testing, microscopy, pH measurement, and flash point measurement. In addition, several synthesis and mixing setups are available for the preparation of a wide range of products.
Our laboratory staff have broad knowledge of our product portfolio. We also have personnel specialized in legislation and regulatory requirements, including REACH registration. Key product lines include emulsions, defoamers, lubricants, personal care formulations, lubricant additive packages, chemicals, and RTV-2 compounding. Core competencies of the R&D department in physical processes include blending, dispersion, and emulsification. For silicone chemistry, these competencies include hydrosilylation, condensation, re-equilibration, emulsion polymerization, and ring-opening polymerization.
