BRB Siloen® WA 263 is a silicone surfactant based on polyether-modified polysiloxane (50%) in diethylene glycol monoethyl ether. It is specifically designed for use in aqueous coatings, printing inks, and overprint varnishes.
The primary benefit of BRB Siloen® WA 263 is its ability to significantly reduce the surface tension of formulations, leading to improved substrate wetting performance without affecting surface slip properties.
BRB Siloen® WA 263 is hydrolytically stable and remains effective within a pH range of 4 to 10, retaining its surface tension-depressant characteristics.
For optimal performance, BRB Siloen® WA 263 is recommended in post-addition but can be incorporated at any stage of the production process.Additionally, BRB Siloen® WA 263 has a low cyclic content, with D4, D5, and D6 levels kept below 0.1%, respectively.
